Kick Double Pole
Sometimes conditions are too fast for diagonal stride, but too slow for double poling. As Goldilocks would say, that’s when Kick Double Pole is “just right”.
Kick Double Pole, which combines Diagonal Stride and Double Poling, is a relaxing technique for travelling across rolling terrain for long distances.
Learn diagonal stride and double pole first, before you try to link them together into kick double pole. It’s tricky to figure out the timing, but after you’ve practiced for awhile your body will be able to fall into the rhythm easily.
If you get confused, just think about extending your arms in front of you at the same time you kick back. You push with your poles as your leg swings forward.
